Shoulder Update

The Bug had an appointment to get her broken shoulder looked at.  It as been six weeks and so far things have gone very well.  Despite the break being quite severe, the bone did not displace so surgery was not necessary-Praise God-secondly, she has had no pain since the accident and has been able to get all her work done at school and has been sleeping well.  Today the big question we wanted to hear from the Dr about was what she would be able to do on the upcoming ski trip.  The answer was definitely no skiing!!  Bummer!!  The bone  is healing well and they said regular activity could resume in JULY!!!  Wow, that is a long way off!  Here is a photo of the X ray taken a week after the accident....

......yes, that gap in the bone being pointed at is the main break with two smaller breaks coming down from it.  Here it is in an X ray taken today.....

..... the bone is filling in nicely and is still lined up well, but we have some significant healing to do yet.  All in all it was mostly good news except for the no skiing part.
